Christmas stockings


It has been a while.... but here is goes.
I have been busy getting ready for Christmas, I finally have all my Christmas stuff out... it looks great. I sent the kids stockings home with them, so I made them new stockings for my house out of and old camo jacket.

Kayla is down for a few days so she can attend women's game night with me.... It has been fun.

Here is my Turkey purse that I made for Avery for Thanksgiving, She just loves it. I saw a picture of a knitted turkey hat and thought that would make a really cute little purse so I made up a pattern for it.

Christmas ornaments


We went to Walmart on Wednesday and got a couple of Christmas ornaments. I always get everyone in the family a new ornament each year. so far I have gotten Don's and Kayla's.

I found this really cute pattern for a small Christmas stocking.... too cute. I am going to make up a bunch of these to give to friends.

Kayla went home today

We had a really nice visit with Kayla... Don is still talking about their hunting trip.
We all went to the movies last night and saw G-force.
Kayla stay in town until about 2pm....we played a few board games before she left....to much fun.

I think Matt has thanksgiving off so they will be coming into town...big smiles...

I started my new crochet project today, a hello kitty. Tina wants me to make a couple of hello Kitty's for her. I will post a picture when I have it finished.

Went to some yard sales today

I went to a few yard sales today and found some great buys.... I got the complete hooked on phonics set for $5 ...wow and I also got the sit and spin zebra for $5 ...two really great deals... a few other good buys.

I am going to a twilight movie night tonight with some friends... we are having a pot luck and then watching the movie and after we are going to play a twilight DVD game.

Kayla's Home For The Weekend

Kayla got in yesterday about 1 pm... she got her hair cut, it looks so cute.... cut about 10 inches off to right about the middle of her shoulder blades. She went out to dinner with her friends and they all came back to the house and we all play catch phase...it was so much fun.
Kayla and her dad are getting ready to go on a hunting trip, he is very ext iced that she was able to come down and spend time with him.

Need to find a new crochet pattern..... but until then going to back them some dark chocolate chip cookies to take on their trip.

new project




Kayla is coming down this week so she can go hunting with her dad.... so new crochet project for her. I found this cute acorn dishcloth pattern so I thought I would whip up a couple for her.

Tail:
Cut 3 strands of brown yarn twice as long as you want the tail (so, if you
want the tail 1.5 inches long, cut your strands 3 inches long). Using all
three strands, loop them around a crochet stitch in the appropriate area.
Pull the ends so that six strands are all the same length and then braid. Tie
off at the end and trim excess yarn if needed.
